In 2009, Anna’s Place NOLA was established with the goal of addressing community needs following Hurricane Katrina. The organization’s youth program, founded by Darryl Durham and Rector Father Bill Terry and originally called Anna’s Arts, encompasses a range of arts-based activities and academic support to meet the evolving needs of the Tremé community.
To promote healing and wholeness of body, mind and spirit in the Tremé/7th Ward and Greater New Orleans community by offering academic, cultural, and arts enrichment; holistic health care; and healthy lifestyle education.
