Parish Profile Being Written

The Search Committee is hard at work drafting our Parish Profile.  We have met for many hours by zoom to review and edit Profile sections, line-by-line, to ensure that they are consistent with each other and with the results of the Parish Survey and focus groups conducted in April.

The Profile will describe who we are, how we believe we should evolve as a faith community, and what we seek in a new rector. It will provide basic data, including parish membership and finances, as well as information on worship services, mission programs, parish life and goals, history, and previous clergy. The Search Committee is targeting completion of the parish profile by the mid-October to allow time for Vestry and Diocesan sign-off  and posting in mid- to late November.

A few reminders on the process:

  1. Publication of the Parish Profile and Office of Transition Ministry (OTM) questionnaire will be online and public (compensation data will only be available to clergy candidates)
  2. The search process is not limited to any geographic area.
  3. We can only accept applications through the online platform. If you know a priest that may be interested or a good candidate, let them know of the vacancy and to watch for the publication of our profile. There is no process to nominate a candidate.
  4. The identity of rector applicants is required to be kept confidential. Only the name of the candidate selected, approved by the Diocese, and who has accepted the position will become public.
