Fr. Dan – Requiem Mass June 15th

Easter 6 this past Sunday was extraordinary in many ways. The Gospel reached out and took us all away to that place of peace. The Mass was said with special intention for the repose of the soul of Daniel Hanna Priest of the Church. Symbolically a red votive candle was lite and sat next to the tabernacle near the place of consecration. That symbol of Dan was then processed to the church entrance with the altar party and placed in the baptismal font. It was in baptism that Dan entered his life in Christ and lived it so well.

A full Requiem Mass will be held at St. Anna’s Episcopal Church on Saturday June 15th. Visitation and reception will begin at 5 p.m. The Mass will start at 6:00 p.m. Clergy are invited to vest and process. White stole please. And yes lace is perfect and so are biretta or other head gear appropriate to the Anglo Catholic priesthood that characterized The Rev. Dan Hanna. The estate has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Anna’s Episcopal Church. We look forward to see all of you there.
